Dr. Martin Luther King Park
This community park for the City of Tampa Parks Department was designed using the principles of low impact design. An existing storm water pond and its surrounding land was converted into a popular local park with a rain garden as the central focal point. The park landscape features native plantings that create an outdoor natural Florida environment. A walkway around the pond and an elevated platform allows one to observe the native wildlife such as white ibis and common egrets.
